The Measles Panel A is a RT-qPCR assay designed for qualitative multiplex in vitro detection of Morbillivirus hominis, more commonly known as the measles virus. This assay has been specially formulated to detect the D8 genotype responsible for recent outbreaks in the United States but will also detect all known circulating strains.
Positive controls for each target and the internal control are included in the kit at approximately 10,000 copies/µL.

Compatible with nucleic acid extraction methods designed to extract high quality RNA from viruses present in human nasopharyngeal swab or sputum samples. Performance to be verified by individual user.
Multiplex panel consists of a single tube with targets in FAM and ROX fluorophores.
